Thank-you Gift

I made this little set for my workmate who went above and beyond the call of duty for me. My husaband was taken ill at work and he had our car. He works several miles from home and my work so Kathy gave me a lift to his work to pick him up so I could get him home in our car. She wouldn't take any petrol money so I made this little thank-you. I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful group of workmates, especially Kathy.

Supplies:
  • Stamps - My Sweet Pea, Basic Phrases
  • Ink - Cholocate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive, So Saffron
  • Card - Whisper White, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, Close to Cocoa
  • Accessories - Pretty in Pink Tafetta Ribbon, Circle Fire Rhinestone Brads
  • Tools - Paper Cutter, Paper Snips, Word Window Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Oval Punch
  • Adhesives - Snail, Dimensionals & Sticky Strip
  • Other Items - Nestabilities Labels Eleven
She loved it, kindly said I'm wasted working in an office! Oh, to be able to craft all day long! lol
At least being a Stampin' Up! demo helps to feed my habit.

Sweet Pea

I made this set from the dotty set I bought in Asda a while ago, it was only £1.50 for both items so it was a bargain! It took a little fiddling (& lots of Sticky Strip) to cover the pencil holder but got there in the end. I finished the itmes off with some of the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt shapes, they're lovely & tactile. Not sure who will be receiving this set as I love it! Probably one of my sisters, then I'll have to make another (good job I bought two) so I don't cause a family feud!

Supplies:
  • Stamps - My Sweet Pea
  • Stampin' Write Markers - Rich Regals & Earth Elements
  • Card - Old Olive, Rose Red, Sahara Sand, Taken With Teal
  • DSP - Sweet Pea
  • Accessories - Sweet Pea Stitched Felt, Rose Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon
  • Tools - Paper Cutter, Scallop Circle, 1-3/8" Circle & 1-3/4" Circle punches
  • Adhesives - Snail, Dimensionals, Tombos Multi Purpose & Sticky Strip

I haven't put any greetings or sentiments on these cards, they're notelet size so the sender can put her message inside.

Plum Easel Card

This design is a blatant case of card ideas from the Craft Stampers magazine! You probably know by now that I just love easel cards, well the magazine showed how you can use your beloved Die Cutter to make shaped easel cards & I just had to have a go!

I'm not sure about the colour on this one, you know I'm a great lover of purple, just I'm not sure I should have used this shade. I'll have another go with another colour soon & try a different stamp set while I'm at it, goodness knows I have enough of them! lol

Supplies:
  • Stamps - Greenhouse Garden, Vintage Labels SAB
  • Ink - Perfect Plum, Pale Plum
  • Card - Whisper White, Pale Plum
  • Accessories - White Shimmer Paint
  • Tools - Paper Cutter, Paper Snips
  • Adhesives - Snail & Dimensionals

Fresh Cuts - So Saffron

Yet another card using the lovely Fresh Cuts set.

When I get a stamp set out I normally like to make a few cards with it before it goes back with all my other sets. This is a variation on the Bashful Blue one, the changes were the scallop edge, different greeting & some of the scrummy striped grosgrain ribbon.

Bashful Fresh Cuts

I made this card while I was having a little play with the Fresh Cuts stamp set.

I love Bashful Blue & I'm very pleased it's not retiring as it was one of the first ink pads I bought. I'm still not sure how I'm going to cope with only 2 purples, though can't wait to find out what yummy colours will be our first in colours!

Happy crafting,

Fresh Cuts - Bashful Blue

This is a very effective card that shows how well Stampin' Up! coordinate their products. I've had the stamp set for a a year now (it was in the last mini catalogue & made it into the main one), but I haven't used it for a while.

My upline Abi showed a card which was taken from the main catalogue & it got me thinking "let's have another look in there". I saw a card very similar to this one so thought I'd do my own take on it, just to show there are some fab ideas in there.

Supplies:
  • Stamps - Fresh Cuts
  • Ink - Bashful Blue
  • Card - Fresh Cuts Notelets, Whisper White, Bashful Blue
  • Accessories - Bashful Blue Tafetta Ribbon, Bashful Blue Brad
  • Tools - Paper Cutter, Paper Snips, 5-Petal Flower Punch
  • Adhesives - Mini Glue Dots, Snail & Dimensionals
If you need to know what products were used in any of the current catalogues, you can donwnload a supplies list from the Stampin' Up! website.

Happy Crafting,

Tulips

I made this card when I had the Flower for all Seasons set out, I cut the layers with one of my Nesties, stamped the image in the centre, then I put the shape back into the Nestie to ink the border with a sponge dauber. I like the way I can still use a small image on a bigger card.

Rich Razzleberry & Soft Suede

Here's the second card I came up with while I was playing with my new goodies. When Stampin' Up! announced their Colour Renovation I was very diappointed that Close to Cocoa was retiring, I've come to love it & I'm sure you've noticed by the amount of projects I have on this blog with it.

Anyway, you can call me fickle, because I've fallen out of love with Close to Cocoa & in love with Soft Suede!

Supplies:
  • Stamps - Circle Circus
  • Ink - Soft Suede, Rich Razzleberry
  • Card - Soft Suede, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White
  • Accessories - Soft Suede Polka Dot Grosgrain (another new product)
  • Tools - Paper Cutter, Paper Snips & Scallop Circle Punch
  • Adhesives - Snail & Dimensionals

Playing with the New Colours

It was my son's School May Fayre & I was in charge of the craft stall "Kath's Crafty Corner"! So Friday night & yesterday were very busy. All the boys & girls who crafted with me were lovely & they all had fun (I hope) making fridge magnets & door hangers. I had to apologise to the cleaners for all the glitter, it was everywhere! Note to self - no glitter next time.

I got the parcel Friday & it's taken 'til today to play! My fingers have been itching to say the least! Here's the first card I came up with. I used The new Rich Razzleberry & Melon Mambo together with Old Olive.

Supplies:
  • Stamps - Itty Bitty Buds (Hostess), Happy Moments SAB
  • Ink - Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo & Old Olive
  • Card - Very Vanilla
  • Tools - Paper Cutter, Paper Snips, Scallop Oval & Oval Punch
  • Adhesives - Snail & Dimensionals
Hope you like these new colours 'cos you're going to be seeing them quite a lot from now on!

Happy crafting,
Kathy. x

Sarah's 21st

I made this card for my eldest Niece's 21st. I'm struggling with the fact that she's all grown up now.

As far as I'm concerned it's only been a short while since she was the tiny bundle of joy I held when she wasn't a day old! Now she's a beautiful young lady who I hope will realise her dream of becoming a paramedic.

Supplies:
  • Stamps - Swirling Stars Jumbo Roller
  • Ink - Tempting Turquoise
  • Card - Tempting Turquoise, Brilliant Blue
  • Accessories - Tempting Turquoise 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Fine Cosmo Glitter, Silver Brads, Tempting Turquoise Brads
  • Punches - Large Star
  • Tools - Paper Cutter, Paper Snips
  • Adhesives - 2-way Glue Pen, Snail, Dimensionals
Sarah loves blue & stars so I thought this card was perfect for her.

Kathy.
