I made this card using the masking technique:
Stamp the deer onto a post-it note, make sure the image is on the sticky end of the note
Carefully cut it out & put it to one side
Stamp the deer onto your project, then cover it with the post-it
Stamp the tree, overlapping the deer
Remove the post-it & the tree should appear behind the deer
Don't throw the post-it away as it can be used many times before the sticky wears off, I keep mine in the bottom of the stamp box. You can do the same with the tree & make a forest background.
The tree was stamped using the "Thumping" technique Abi showed me last week. I used several shades of green Stampin' Write Markers & holding the far end of the pen, thumped the brush nib onto the stamp. Use the lighter shade first & build up the colours until the whole image is covered. Give it a "Huff" & stamp. I loved the way the leaves were all different shades, just like a real tree. Thanks Abi!
