Circle Circus on Acetate

I made this using some of the products in the new Catalogue out tomorrow, not long to go now!

The stamp set is Circle Circus, which I love as it's so versatile, I know I'll be using this set so much in the coming year. All the stamps fit the various Circle punches so no fiddly cutting out, if you like medallion style cards, this is the easy way to acheive that look.

I also used the new Window Sheets, they are available in two thicknesses & I've used the thicker one as the card base. You'll notice from the back view that I used punched circles to hide the adhesive, the recipient's name & a message can also be be written here.

I used:
Stamps - Circle Circus
Window sheets - Thick
Card - Whisper White
Ink - Brilliant Blue, Tempting Turquoise
Punches - Scallop Circle & all the Circle Punches!
Gem Brads - from the Pretties Kit but will be available separately in the new catalogue
Dimensionals

It's a more striking colour scheme than I usually go for, but I was in "Bold Brights" mood that day!

Thanks for looking!
Kathy.

Garden Dream #1

This card was made using the new level 3 Hostess set Garden Dream, I love the flowers, leaves & the gorgeous hummingbird in this set.

I used the new 2-way glue pen with Dazzling Diamonds on the flower stamens, this gives just a touch of sparkle, the pen is fab for giving precise placement of glue.

I used:
Stamp set - Garden Dream
Card - Whisper White, Rose Red, Regal Rose
Stampin' Write Markers - Bold Brights & Rich Regals
Ribbon - 1/2" Striped Grossgrain in Pretty in Pink
2-way glue pen
Dazzling Diamonds

Happy crafting!
Kathy.

I cased the project from my upline Abi, who gave these last year with her christmas cards, great idea!

The stamp set is called Itty Bitty Buds and is a hostess level 2 set with lots of flower buds (hence the name) and stems. I'm sure I'm going to be using this set alot this year!

I used:

Hope you like it, thanks Abi!
Kathy.

Carte Postale Necklace & Earrings

I've made this set before the Carte Postale stamp set retires forever! Only 2 more weeks so if you love the set, get it now while these's 25% off!

I used the same technique for this necklace as for the first one, I just changed the colour, stamp & punch shape.

This time I made matching earrings, they were simply punched out using the Boho Blooms punch, sticky gems were added & enamelled on both sides. I then used super-glue to fix them to earring posts ( you'll find them online or in my case my local craft shop).

I also used jewelery findings for the clasp, not sure if I like having to fiddle with them (I'm all fingers & thumbs) but if I'm giving them as gifts I'll do it this way.

Having loved making these jewelery projects I've given in & ordered a melting pot! For those of you who don't know what that is, it heats UUTE in a pot & I can then dip my stamped shapes in, let them cool down & hey presto, done! Can't wait for it to arrive so I can play! lol

Once I've perfected the technique I'll also be designing some gift packaging for my creations so they'll look pretty. So keep popping over to see what I come up with! :)

Taken with Teal Necklace

I made this necklace when I couldn't find one in the shops to match a dress I have.

I used:

Card - Taken with Teal
Stamps - Baroque Motifs
Ink - Chocolate Chip & versamark
Punch - 5 Petal Flower
Elastic cord - silver
Stick-on gem in Teal
Ultra-thick Embossing Enamel (UUTE) - clear

I stamped the image in Chocolate Chip & centering the image, punched out the flower shape. I then gently shaped the petals & added the gem to the centre.
Punch the tiny holes out to take the cord now, not after youve enamelled the shape.
Ink the back of the flower with Versamark first & dip it into your pot of UUTE & heat, repeat the inking & heating a couple of times, then go onto the front & enamel that side too. If your holes get filled by the UUTE, gently heat again & stick a piercing tool in before is hardens.

To make the "chain" I used 3 lengths of elastic cord, knotted each end & then knotted it together. It slips easily over my head so no fidly clasps in the morning!

I love this project so much I'm going to do loads, maybe one in every colour!!

Hope you like it too!
Kathy

More Art Deco

Here's some more Art Deco cards I made earlier in the year, I did some more but they were given before I started taking photos of my creations. The last one has a matching notebook which I covered with a topper. I accented the cards with a little glitter, gems or gold & silver mirror card.

Thanks for looking,
Kathy.

Carte Postale Apeture

This is another card using the Carte Postale set (I'm using it while I still can!), it's very similar to the thank-you card I gave to the Hostess of my very first Stampin' Up! home workshop, we had a lovely afternoon of crafting & chatting (& eating choccies!) & my Hostess will be getting her goodies on Thursday! She got the two stamp sets she's been after for ages, which is great.

If any of you would like to earn some free lovely crafting goodies by holding a home workshop, contact me.

Golden Wedding

I had a request last week to make a Golden Wedding card for a work colleague's Mum & Dad, she wanted an extra special card complete with box & a matching gift tag so here's what I came up with.

I gave it to my colleague a few days ago & she said her parents would love it! Their Anniversary is today, so congratulations!
I love making extra-special cards like this one & I have another to do soon, next time it's for a colleague's daughter's wedding & I'll post it here then.

Thanks for looking,
Kathy.

Glitter Floral

This card was made using some off-cuts of glitter paper I just couldn't throw away! I added some fabric flowers & coloured a peel-off greeting black to match.

I really should set myself a challenge of using all of my bits & pieces, but I'd never get any other cards done then! Instead I have a little clear out every now & then & pass on the paper & card scraps to my local school, for the children to use for collage etc.

Spacecat

You might have noticed how much I love the Crafters Companion Girls & Boys CD Rom, so here's another card! If any of you have any children who love to craft too, the images are simple enough for little fingers to have fun with.

This card was made using some printed acetate (sorry the photo doesn't show it up very well) which I adhered to an insert printed onto card. I then printed the Spacecat topper sheet & stuck the cat to the card & the flying saucer to the acetate. I wanted a neat finish so I stuck the base layer of the spaceship to the back of the acetate & the other layers to the front, that way no glue shows through.

Thanks for looking!
Kathy.

Fresh Flowers

I made this card for one of my 7 (yes seven!) Sister-in-Laws, I used my Stampin' Write Markers to colour the image, gave it a "huff" & stamped! It took a while to ink it but I love the result.

I used:
Stamp Set - Fresh Cuts from the mini catalogue
Cardstock - Very Vanilla, Rose Red, Always Artichoke
Stampin Write Markers - So Saffron, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Always Artichoke
Brads - Rose Red
Punches - Scallop Oval & Oval

The stamp is very detailed & I normally struggle, but Stampin' Up!'s quality is so excellent it was easy.

Hope she likes it!
Kathy.
